Pavetek Road Services is based in Victoria and is an Australian family owned and operated business with First, Second and now Third Generation in the business.
Peter Azzopardi, the managing director of Pavetek Road Services has had over 35 years of experience in the Asphalt/ Road Construction Industry; he is the second generation of his family, with his father and other relatives being in the Asphalt Industry for over 60 years; also, in supervisory positions. Peter not only brings the knowledge from the past, but also present-day and has the ability to apply both in any project that he undertakes.
Peter’s long history and vast knowledge in the industry has given him the know how to provide customers and consultancy firms with the requirements to meet their client’s budgets and specifications so that projects can be completed safely and on time, at a high standard. His diverse knowledge and ability enables him to provide solutions in problem solving, organizing, and executing training personnel for preparation of high profile projects. His long history with Airfield Services certifies that he has the ability to meet aviation standards and time frames, ensuring minimal disruption to the client.
Peter has contracted his services out to Downer by providing training and managing supervisory services, in projects such as Hobart Airport and RAAF Base, Williamtown, Newcastle. He was responsible for executing training and organizing personnel for preparation of high profile projects and making sure that safety and productivity were adhered to. His skills in planning enabled him to execute projects in efficient time and with the right resourcing as per customer requirements, he was able to minimize rectification work; providing customers with the highest quality pavements.
Peter has worked on many major projects within the construction industry, such as the Philip Island Grand Prix Race Track, Tullamarine Airport Runways, Sale Airforce Base Runways and Taxiways, City Links infrastructure, Launceston Airport Runway, Tasmania – to only name a few.
Pavetek Road Services provides services to both commercial and the private sector, including residential. Now with third generation in the business, a complete service is offered from preparation, asphalt paving, maintenance and minor civil works
